An Easter Focused on Christ

April 4, 2023 by Leia

Make your Easter more meaningful and focused on our Savior, Jesus Christ, by using this fun printable scavenger hunt with your family.

Last weekend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held its semi-annual General Conference. Twice a year we get to hear from our living prophet and apostles of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Messages of hope, peace, love, kindness, joy, and more were shared with the world!

Many messages were shared about this Easter season. This message from Elder Stevenson got me thinking about the things my family does each year for Easter. I think we sometimes tend to have more bunnies and eggs on our minds than we do the Savior. I immediately knew I wanted to change that! So, I had the idea to make this Christ-focused scavenger hunt for my family.

I wanted an activity that would still be fun and engaging for my children, who range in age from 18-6. Most importantly I wanted to include the scriptures, and videos that would invite the spirit.  I got some text from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints website about Easter.  I added some of my own thoughts.  I typed it all up and made a printable for my family, but also for anyone else who wants to use this idea as well!  Or maybe this just inspires you to make your own version, or something totally different but still focused on Christ.  That is the overall goal.

If this sounds like something your family would like, use the links below to download and print off the documents.  You can use the clues I am using, or there is a version with blanks to write in your own clues.

The first page is just instructions for you, and kind of how to introduce the activity.

I’m putting the clues in eggs, so there will still be some egg hunting- but not for the purpose of a mad dash around the house and tyring to out-do your siblings.  But, instead a work-together approach, that all the kids can share in.

I hope you enjoy this Easter.  I hope we can all be better about remembering our Savior, Jesus Christ.  He truly lived, died, was resurrected, and lives again!  Christ loves us and wants us to return to Him.  Happy Easter.

Hello there!

Hi there! My name is Leia. I love to eat. Good thing I also love to cook and bake. ;)
I think food can bring people together. I value family dinners and sharing good conversations over a slice of pie or some saucy nachos. Food makes people happy, and I want to help with that. Let's dig deeper →
