Local Flavor Swap- What I got

August 10, 2015 by Leia

Hey friends!  Remember when I told you about the fun swap I was participating in?

Well, the swap is complete and I wanted to tell you a little about it.

I was assigned to swap with the super fun Sydney, from Tastefully Frugal.

The swap was a ‘Local Flavor’ swap, so we were both supposed to find items that represented our area.  You can check out the other participants and what they received here.

I sent some huckleberry flavored items, since I live in Montana.  I also included a small Cowboys and Indians play set for her kiddos.  🙂

Sydney sent me some delicious items from Utah.  There was some yummy peach salsa, pink cotton candy, strawberry jam, and raspberry creamed honey.  Oh my goodness.  Everything was so good.  Not pictured are the sweet honey sticks that Sydney sent, but my kids drank those down almost immediately after I opened the box…

I also got some soap and bath salts, who doesn’t love a nice soak in the tub!?

Thanks, Sydney!!  You rock!

I loved getting to know Sydney and her home area of Utah a little better.  Everyone loves getting mail, but when that mail has some sweet, edible treats, it’s just awesome!  (Hint hint!)  😉

What a lovely package, and how sweet she included goodies for your kiddos! I had no idea Utah was the Beehive (or is it just bee?) state until last year’s Local Flavor Swap. And creamed honey is the best! I love it slathered on warm toast, with my tea. 😀

I know, goodies for the kids was so sweet! Utah is the Beehive State, and that creamed honey is AMAZING on toast! Why had I not heard of it sooner! 😉

Hello there!

Hi there! My name is Leia. I love to eat. Good thing I also love to cook and bake. ;)
I think food can bring people together. I value family dinners and sharing good conversations over a slice of pie or some saucy nachos. Food makes people happy, and I want to help with that. Let's dig deeper →
